It’s going to be an interesting journey, this Year Two experience. We’ve covered much territory. We’ve grown accustomed to one another. Now, it’s time to delve deeper.
There was a point when Jesus looked at his disciples and told them that he no longer thought of them as servants, but as friends. Well, you’ve never been our servants, but neither have you always been our friends. But now you are. Friends, that is.
As we ended our Year One journey, we sensed that we wanted to have more conversations. We wanted to read and study, yes, but we also wanted to hear more from one another. While we have some outstanding texts to study together, we’re most excited about hearing what Spirit is doing and saying in the room.
In this first semester, which we’re calling The Contemplative Way, we’re going to think deeply about how we approach our ordinary, everyday lives as the space in which we encounter God. To borrow a phrase, we’re seeking a liturgy of the ordinary.
Feel free to register now. If you need some assistance, as always, just tell Kathy—no questions asked.
Classes begin 1/29 and run 11 weeks through 4/16. We’ll meet in the room that Jen (ahem) designed at 8am, as usual.
